A few things to consider...

By purchasing from us you agree to the following terms and conditions:

YOUR SATISFACTION:

With timber being a natural material all of our products benefit from the character and charm that this brings.

Whilst every effort is made in the workshop to match the wood carefully to each design, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that splits/cracks may occur over time as this is a natural effect. Whilst most people may feel this adds to the character of the piece, we appreciate that in some cases it may be disappointing to the customer.

To this end, in the unlikely event of any items becoming unsatisfactory to you, we are fully happy to discuss any concerns with you after your purchase and resolve any issues.

SAFETY:

As obvious as it may seem, candles/tealights are a fire risk if left unattended. We remind all customers to be vigilant with any of our products that house naked flames

The style of furniture that we produce is, by its very nature, chunky and often heavy. We advise all customers to secure tall shelves etc with a discreet bracket to a wall, or otherwise ensure that it cannot topple over. We will supply such a fixing with any item that this may pertain to for the customer to affix at their discretion.

Mirrors, if fixed to a wall, should be secured with appropriate brackets/fixings to adequately manage the weight load to avoid potential injury or damage. We advise this should be undertaken by a competent or qualified installer.

Vale timbercraft does not accept liability for personal injury or damage caused by incorrect installation or negligence by the customer.

DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS:

All dimensions and weights stated are approximate and are for general guidance only, unless an exact bespoke item is ordered. A single dimension given is normally the nearest to a full centimetre i.e. rounded up or down.

BESPOKE ITEMS:

Bespoke items will be arranged directly with the customer to their requirements. We will not be liable for mistakes due to incorrect measurements received from the customer. Bespoke items will be subject to a 25% deposit of the agreed price prior to production.

SHIPPING:

We only operate within the UK with regard to shipping and overseas orders will not be processed. We do not export. Larger items, due to the weights involved are more expensive to ship. At our discretion local delivery may be available within a 20 mile radius of the workshop. Customers are invited to contact us to discuss/arrange before purchasing. Vale timbercraft recommends and encourages collection from the workshop to reduce costs to the customer.

REFUND AND RETURNS:

All of our products are sold in good faith. We offer a 28 day return policy with full refund providing the item returns in the same undamaged condition it was in when shipped out. Postage and packaging in this instance will be provided by the customer or deducted from the refund.

If in the unfortunate event an item is damaged during the shipping process we will require photographic evidence upon receipt by the customer.

CARE:

Wood is a natural product and can be damaged/scratched etc through inadequate care or poor handling. Customers are advised for example to use coasters when placing hot or cold drinks and hot plates on tables, avoid the items coming into contact with sharp edges and so on. Vale timbercraft does not accept liability for damage caused in these or similar circumstances.
